Public Service

Public Service Academies at public universities around the country develop military and civilian national service leaders, side by side, armed with the skills, networks and experiences to take on the nation’s and world’s most complex challenges.

Challenges such as in education, national security and access to healthcare need the public, private, nonprofit and military sectors to work together towards a shared goal. ASU’s Public Service Academy answers the call for a character-driven leader armed with the courage to cross sectors, connect networks and ignite action for the greater good.

ROTC cadets and Next Generation Service Corps members build relationships over their four years in the Public Service Academy. Through shared leadership development opportunities, cadets and corps members gain an understanding of the culture, hierarchy and motivations of each others' tracks and build long lasting relationships that will fundamentally impact the way civilian and military leaders interact, helping to close the civilian military gap.
